This week I had the privilege of visiting at length with members of the Christian musical group, Adam's Road, and their road crew. If you do not know about this group, you must visit their website — a unique thing about them is that all of the musicians served full-time missions for the Mormon Church, and now minister about why they left the church.

I am continually impressed by the purity of their message:  Only Jesus, only grace.

Our fellowship took place the day after this year's fall Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah. One of the band members, whose family is still LDS, spoke on the phone to his parents about the conference and asked them a question.

“What new revelations were shared with the church during this conference?” he asked.

It was a legitimate question — after all, the LDS church claims exclusive access to God for revelation for the church and for the whole world.

What was the response of the LDS people who listened to the Conference? What was the new revelation?

The only thing that was new was the “revealing” of the sites of new temples to be built by the church.

Kind of like a press conference of a multi-billion-dollar corporation, with devotional thoughts by its board of directors.
