A Confusing Deity

Everything about the Mormon godhead is a confused mess if you accept all the supposedly-inspired teachings of LDS leaders. Brigham Young said that God was Adam.[i] Adam, according to LDS theology, was Michael in the pre-existence.[ii] Michael was the godhead equivalent of the Holy Ghost.[iii] The Holy Ghost, said Talmadge, is the Comforter,[iv] and the Comforter is the Spirit of Truth.[v] Christ, though, is also the Comforter,[vi] and the Spirit of Truth.[vii] Finally, Christ is the God of the Old Testament![viii]

So it comes full circle—and even through the Mormon perversion of Scripture, truth prevails. There is only one God!
