When I was a Mormon, all my LDS friends and I spoke of a coming calendar date in which the LDS Church would save the Constitution of the United States. That's why a law school was begun at Brigham Young University, to train people for this eventuality.

Joseph Smith and Brigham Young both taught that a day would come when the Constitution of the United States would “hang by a thread,” and Mormons would save it (see Journal of Discourses Vol. 7, p. 15. Other quotes from Mormon prophets and spokesmen are available here)

According to a college friend of Mitt Romney, Mike Moody, author of a new book about Romney, the politician believes he was pre-ordained to fulfill this prophecy.

So — if he does achieve position in which he can yield that kind of power, to whom or what will he be most loyal?

So, Christian readers, what does Romney's dilemma reveal to you about your loyalties? How would you respond?
